I am a mom of two boys, I'm raising a flock of chickens and tending a garden that started as a way to get closer to my food source during the pandemic. Growing up on a peach farm, I've always felt a connection to nature. After living in Boston for a while, I missed that connection terribly. Now, there's nothing quite like watching my kids pluck vegetables straight from our garden and eat them on the spot! Seeing them witness the entire journey from seed to plant to food, and all the care in between, brings me so much joy.

My journey to entrepreneurship actually started because my kids. I wanted the flexibility to volunteer in their classrooms and be present for those moments, something I know many business owners can relate to. Our family traditions are important to me, we have "Fun Fridays" where we make pizza from scratch and watch a movie with dinner. The kids love the relaxed rules, and I love that I've sneakily added zucchini to the pizza sauce!

Writing poetry is another passion of mine, and I've built a community that brings writers of all backgrounds together to share their stories. I founded The Write Idea in Modesto to transform what can often feel like a solitary hobby into a collective journey where writers cheer each other on. If you're a writer, come find us!

As an Air Force veteran, I understand what it means to navigate major life and career transitions.
